"We are big supporters of education at Sabre, and one of our main goals in this region is to grow and develop the region's industry knowledge of new technology solutions and how they can use these to improve and innovate the traveler experience. Our partnership with BTI is a great way of allowing us to do this and we look forward to developing the curriculum with their team over the coming weeks,"
said Daniel Naoumovitch, CEO of Sabre Travel Network Middle East.
The courses on offer will allow IATA foundation level students to access training courses on Sabre products and services, beginning with the My Sabre product.
Interested agencies can visit Sabre's stand at BITE 2009, where Sabre's training and product teams will be on hand to discuss educational opportunities. Visitors at the stand can also participate in the Sabre Jeopardi Game Show, a live trivia game where attendees have the chance to win multiple prizes and learn more about the Sabre offering.
"We are the first Global Distribution System to provide this kind of training content to a training institute in the region and we plan on expanding the scope and geographical spread of it as time goes on to encompass training institutes all over the GCC," said Mr. Naoumovitch.
Sabre is at the forefront of one of the world's fastest growing industries. Travel agencies across the Middle East region use Sabre's wide product range as tools to maximize their customer offer and have the support of Sabre's 16 offices in 11 countries across the Middle East and the Levant.05.09.
