Offering high performance video including HDTV image quality and multiple H.264 streams, these cameras constitute the best choice for a wide range of demanding video applications.

"Axis P33 Network Camera Series, with HDTV video quality and unique remote focus and zoom capabilities, is specifically designed for efficient installation in both indoor and harsh outdoor environments,"

says Baraa Al Akkad, Regional Manager Axis Communications, ME.

"This strong addition to our comprehensive product portfolio is perfect for unobtrusive video surveillance in exposed areas such as airports, retail buildings, railway stations and subways."

Axis P33 Network Cameras range from standard indoor models to vandal-resistant outdoor models perfectly adapted for harsh environments. The weather-proof models of the Axis P33 Series operate in extreme temperatures, powered by standard Power over Ethernet only (IEEE 802.3af). All Axis P33 Network Cameras support Power over Ethernet, eliminating the need for power cables and reducing installation costs.

Axis P33 Series uses progressive scan technology, providing superb video quality in 30 frames per second, in full resolution. Axis P3343 Network Cameras deliver SVGA resolution, whereas the
Axis P3344 models offer 1MP or HDTV 720p in compliance with the SMPTE standard in resolution, color representation and frame rate. The cameras support wide dynamic range and day/night functionality enabling clear images both in daylight and in dark lighting conditions.

Axis P33 Series provides multiple, individually configurable video streams in H.264 compression, which greatly optimizes bandwidth and storage without compromising image quality. Motion JPEG is also supported for increased flexibility.

Other features include two-way audio support and video intelligence such as video motion detection, audio detection and detection of camera tampering attempts. In addition, Axis P33 Network Cameras offer a built-in SD/SDHC memory card slot, enabling recordings to be stored locally.

Axis P33 Network Cameras are supported by the industry's largest base of video management software through the Axis Application Development Partner program as well as by Axis Camera Station. The cameras will be available in Q3 2009 through Axis' distribution channels.
