Major-General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of DNRD, said:
"We have established strong ties in the past with the Dubai Civil Defence Department through field visits, trainings and other joint activities. Through this MoU, we aim to consolidate the joined efforts in one strategic framework that facilitates the exchange of knowledge and expertise and develops the capacities of staff at both ends."
Speaking at the ceremony held today at the DNRD headquarters, Major-General Rashid Tani Al Matroshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defense, said: "We, at the Civil Defence Department, aim to ensure the safety for everyone through high-tech systems and well trained staff. This MoU offers the department access to the knowledge and expertise of the DNRD both technically and in terms of human resources. It will also entail various awareness campaigns to create an understanding of the key safety elements through extensive training and workshops."
