Sheikh Saud inaugurates International Product Presentation Expo 2009 in Ras Al Khaimah

After cutting the ribbon to inaugurate the event, Sheikh Saud toured the exhibition venue, which housed latest products and scientific innovations from various European countries.

Around 40 companies from Europe, including Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Poland and Netherlands, are showcasing their latest products at the event. The IPP exhibition, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, features a wide variety of products ranging from health and wellness to technology products, cosmetics, medical products and art items.

Dr. Oswald E. Prager, Coordinator of IPP- 2009, said:

"IPP Exhibition in Ras Al Khaimah has become an annual affair for the past seven years and we are extremely pleased that it has developed into a keenly awaited event for the people of RAK."

Elia Timani, Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Hamra Hotels and Resorts, who are the organizers of the event, said that the IPP exhibition has become popular due to the fact that it brings latest European products and solutions to the people of the Emirate.

"There has been tremendous response from small and medium- size enterprises from Europe to participate in the exhibition, which is a testimony to the robust business environment present in Ras Al Khaimah," he added.

Timany said that the exhibition expects to reach a sales target of EUR10m in the current year.

The inaugural function attracted large number of visitors to the venue where a variety of entertainment and cultural activities were also staged.
