TE Data participates in Arabcom 2009 in Lebanon

TE Data participates as a co-sponsor in Arabcom 2009, The 11th annual Arab International Telecom Development Summit to be held on the 28th and 29th of May, 2009 in the Lebanese Capital 'Beirut' under the patronage of the Minister of Telecom In Lebanon, H.E. Eng. Jebrane Bassile.

"This summit aims at bringing the opportunity for mutual acquaintance between the company and the Arab community as well as those who are interested in communications in the Arab Region."


Ahmed Ossama, TE Data's Managing Director said. He also emphasized the importance of studying the communications market in the Levant countries especially after the success achieved by TE Data Jordan.

He further added that the company is currently present in the Arab region through providing Internet and data communications services to a number of Arab telecoms companies through submarine cables in collaboration with TE Data Jordan.

"The topics of this year's conference are of paramount importance, since addressing broadband, WiMax and Fiber Optic technologies as well as the relation between the media content and telecommunications and the role of broadband technologies in developing such content are closely related to our work. In addition, keeping abreast with the latest developments of these technologies will directly affect the company's interests and will support its success in such field, Ossama explained.

"Our current share in Egypt's Internet market is 59%, and we enjoy \ sharp growth rate." He added, asserting that the company is working hard to meet the customers' ever increasing needs relating to the quality, speed and prices of Internet services, expecting that the number of Internet users in Egypt will continue to rise, which represents a good opportunity to develop the company's services.

It's worth mentioning that TE Data Jordan was established and licensed by the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission in Jordan on July 2004.

Jordan was chosen as the primary center for expansion. Such step was taken as to utilize the liberalization of the Jordan's communications market under a regulatory system that encourages competition and prohibits monopoly, in addition to the attractive investment climate which Jordan generally enjoys that will be in the best interest of customers.
