"Sharm El Sheikh has for more than a decade been one of the shining stars of Egypt's tourism industry and it is therefore with great delight that we are announcing this second popular Egyptian destination for Wataniya Airways, following our successful Cairo route which we commenced in early March 2009,"
said Wataniya Airways Chairman and Managing Director, Abdulsalam Al Bahar.
"Today's announcement is a testimony to the achievements of Wataniya Airways and the team that have worked hard to arrange additional destinations to be offered in time for the busy summer season. Wataniya Airways provides our guests with the option to start their holiday in style and comfort."
Wataniya Airways flies from the Sheikh Saad Terminal to Dubai, Cairo and Beirut, Bahrain and will add the new routes of Amman, Damascus and Sharm El Sheikh to its network in the first week of June. It is the first time that any commercial airline has operated out of Kuwait from a location other than Kuwait International Airport and the prestigious private terminal provides a fitting setting for Wataniya Airways' special guest services.
The airline has appointed Emeco Travel, as its General Sales Agent (GSA) in Egypt; Emeco is a leading Destination Management Company in the region that specializes in incentive, conference and event organization, and remains a pioneer in the Egyptian travel industry.
