The Trikke UPT is a lightweight electric vehicle (16 kilos only) that has proven to be the "game changer" for personal transportation. With a motorized front wheel and dual rear brakes, the uPT reaches speeds of 30 Km/h and travels up to 30 kilometers per single charge. For longer runs, the Trikke is equipped with a hot swappable battery pack. Supplement that with the ability to add human power and the UPT becomes a socially responsible hybrid commuter vehicle with excellent mileage that is absolutely eco-friendly.
The Trikke was recently presented at the Urban Transport Conference in Abu Dhabi, and received great acclaim for its convenience and positive impact on the regional carbon footprint and fuel conservation capacity.
Trikke's unique offering of swift travel over short distances coupled with rapid recharge and low maintenance make it an invaluable addition to the busy backend operations of various industry segments especially the aviation industry.
"By reducing travel time and increasing ease of movement, test runs at work environments have indicated a clear drop in employee stress levels resulting in performance enhancement and increased productivity. Its portability, and the much needed ability to help reduce carbon footprints act as significant valuable additions," said Nicholas Mobayed, President & CEO, Bond Group.
"Maintaining schedules is the lifeline of every airport. And integrating Trikke within the environment and operations can elevate individual and departmental efficiency levels and increased cost saving by adding prompt response times to passenger demands and rapid reaction to security needs,"
he added.
The Trikke uPT is due to commence its manufacturing unit in the UAE in the near future. The plant will cater to the Middle East & North Africa market, while optimizing maintenance and after sales assistance and support across the region.
The company is currently in talks with various transport, security, airport and port authorities in the region and has definite plans to prove the product's utility at Airports across the GCC. It has developed a patented docking station designed for parking and charging multiple vehicles at a time, ensuring uninterrupted ready-to-use status.
The Trikke can be seen at the Dubai Airport Show from 19th to 21st May, 2009. They will be offering test rides and demonstrations.
