In fact, Henderson says, consumers with this type of capability now often have faster access to the Internet at home than they do at the office. With xDSL and cable modem services acting as enabling technologies new business models are emerging that exploit these capabilities. As computing capabilities increase and Internet bandwidth
escalates on a parallel course, Internet-based applications, too, continue to make quantum leaps in technical sophistication.
