Following a tour of the sights of Kuwait, the journalists had the opportunity to attend the AGM of Kuwait National Airways, the holding company for Wataniya Airways. During this assembly they were able to meet with the Chairman and Managing Director Abdul Salam Al Bahar and gain his insight on the business proposition that Wataniya Airways is based on.
The journalists were also briefed on the increased frequency of flights to Cairo, which will commence on the 23rd of May, to cater for the busy summer period. The double daily flights, conveniently scheduled in the morning and afternoon, will enable many more guests to travel between Kuwait and Cairo in style.
"Egypt has been a vital part of our strategic plans because it is a favourite destination for Kuwait-based travellers and we consider our newly-established route as another chapter in the historically rich relations between the Egyptian and Kuwaiti people. Following the first trip to Cairo on the 3rd of March, we recently announced the increase of frequency of flights to Cairo due to popular demand over the summer months. We are delighted to have welcomed these journalists from Egypt as our guests on Wataniya Airways and in Kuwait as they are an important link that will help strengthen the bonds between our countries."
said Al Bahar.
