Wataniya Airways welcomes top-tier Egyptian media to Kuwait

Wataniya Airways, Kuwait's only premium service airline, recently concluded a successful two-day visit to Kuwait for top-tier Egyptian journalists.

The trip provided the Egyptian media representatives, who were predominantly travel specialists, with the opportunity to experience Wataniya Airways' premium services as well as allowing them to get a better understanding of its business model.

Following a tour of the sights of Kuwait, the journalists had the opportunity to attend the AGM of Kuwait National Airways, the holding company for Wataniya Airways. During this assembly they were able to meet with the Chairman and Managing Director Abdul Salam Al Bahar and gain his insight on the business proposition that Wataniya Airways is based on.

The journalists were also briefed on the increased frequency of flights to Cairo, which will commence on the 23rd of May, to cater for the busy summer period. The double daily flights, conveniently scheduled in the morning and afternoon, will enable many more guests to travel between Kuwait and Cairo in style.

"Egypt has been a vital part of our strategic plans because it is a favourite destination for Kuwait-based travellers and we consider our newly-established route as another chapter in the historically rich relations between the Egyptian and Kuwaiti people. Following the first trip to Cairo on the 3rd of March, we recently announced the increase of frequency of flights to Cairo due to popular demand over the summer months. We are delighted to have welcomed these journalists from Egypt as our guests on Wataniya Airways and in Kuwait as they are an important link that will help strengthen the bonds between our countries."

The Egyptian media guests enjoyed the quality of services afforded by the airline's Premium Economy and First Class offering, from comfortable leather seats to the attentive in-flight service that is the hallmark of Wataniya Airways. They were highly impressed upon their touch down at the exclusive Sheikh Saad Terminal and the efficiency of the arrivals experience, after which they were taken on a tour to view the Premium Economy and First Class lounges.

"We feel very optimistic about the path that that this premium service airline is taking. The business model is a recipe for success that will resonate well with the Egyptian market," said Ms. Mervat Fahmy, Managing Editor of Rose Al Yousef Newspaper.
