It will also provide a comparative analysis of data centre markets across the Middle East and other regions. The event, which is under the patronage of Injazat, will be highlighted by the first data centre CEO panel for the Middle East.
"This inaugural forum provides an excellent platform for the IT community to specifically address the problems, opportunities, and unique characteristics of the Middle East's rapidly growing data centre business. The CEO panel in particular will provide attendees with valuable insights on the data centre market's status and future directions. IT Services is one of the few sectors that are in demand despite the economic crisis, so it is important for industry to gather and collaborate on how to maintain and accelerate growth,"
said George Pawlyszyn, Executive Director, Strategy and Business Development, Injazat Data Systems.
Aside from the business aspects of data centre operations, the forum will also explore environment-friendly operational approaches that can complement stringent "green" policies enforced by Middle Eastern states. Dr. Bob Sullivan, a global expert on cooling and efficient data centre solutions, will chair a special session on the subject. Other key topics include future power strategies, service and outsourcing demand and strategies for growth, managed services, and the investment outlook for data centres. As the owner of the region's first Tier IV design-certified data centre, Injazat has been leading industry efforts to maximize the potential of the data centre segment.
"The Middle East has been able to protect its business interests from most of the negative effects of the economic downturn, which strategically positions it to leverage opportunities in growth areas such as IT. There are specific fields such as data centre services which are becoming exceptionally profitable due to their compatibility with business-wide efforts to optimize performance while lowering costs. As the operator of the first Tier IV facility in the region, we want to encourage a better understanding of the importance of data centres and how they can help in national development strategies across the Arab World," added Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems.
Injazat Data Systems is a joint venture between Mubadala Development Co. and EDS, an HP company with 46 years of global expertise in the IT managed services industry. The company holds more than 50 per cent of the UAE's IT outsourcing market and is the owner of the first Tier IV design certified Data centre in the region and the only one of its kind outside of North America.
"Data centers are critical to the expansion of the Middle East's economy as they deliver valuable services to enterprise and government customers. Injazat's participation in this important regional forum, which promises outstanding content and insights in a networking-rich environment, highlights the very high value associated with this event,"
concluded Philip Low, Managing Director, BroadGroup.
