Based in Adliya and catering to the needs of both nationals and expatriates alike, the RIA Institute offers professional intervention for students with communication disorders.

More than 30 employees from Sabre and Hill & Knowlton, a leading international communications consultancy, volunteered their time as part of Sabre's annual 'Give Time Together' global volunteer campaign to visit the RIA Institute for the second year running. Working with tools, trees and a variety of plants generously donated by Jasim Garden Centre, the volunteers helped to replant the garden so that students have a green and healthy environment in which to play.

Children's gardening t-shirts were also provided by Hill & Knowlton and a cash donation by Blue Water Investment Company, a Bahrain-based real estate company, helped to facilitate the completion of the garden.

The event took place on May 11th and 12th and both students and volunteers enjoyed working side by side to make Bahrain greener, and the school a more enjoyable environment.

Daniel Naoumovitch, CEO of Sabre Travel Network Middle East said:
"Sabre believes in the importance of giving back to local communities through volunteerism. Now more than ever, it's important for corporations to give back to the community - our global Give Time Together campaign allows us to do just this while also enabling us to connect with one another while making an impact on the needs of individuals here in Bahrain."

"We're thrilled that the RIA Institute is once again able to benefit from Sabre and our donating partners' commitment to social responsibility and environmental sustainability," he concluded.

For the past four years, Sabre employees around the world have joined forces to support the company's annual 'Give Time Together' global volunteer week during early May. This year, in spite of daily headlines proclaiming recession, industry upheaval and global pandemics, Sabre volunteers have moved forward with plans to give back to the communities in which they live and work.

Other worldwide initiatives include the creation of a community garden in Texas, supporting children's education in India, helping to prevent cruelty to children in London, painting a fence at a Polish orphanage and supporting the intellectually disabled in Australia.
