Dubai Customs participates in Airport Show 2009

Dubai Customs takes part in the Airport Show at its ninth session at the Exhibition Center - Dubai International Airport from May 19th - 21st, 2009 under the subspecies of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation, Chairman of Dubai Airports Company and Chairman of Emirates Airline Group.

Dubai Customs participates in the show by demonstrating services and facilities offered to businessmen and tradesmen throughout presenting the most updated programs and systems.

Visitors are also introduced to the services Dubai Customs provides to passengers coming to Dubai International Airport besides its preparations of opening Al Maktoum International Airport in "Dubai World Central".

The exhibition also shows some of the most recent seized items such as products made of extinct animals and plants and some smuggled archeological items, besides showing a documentary about the division.

As part of its vital participation in the event, Mr. Mohammed Mattar Al Marri, Executive Director of Dubai Customs Cargo has given a lecture entitled with: "Customs of the Future" on the second day of the Airport Show event in view of the fact that Dubai Customs is considered an essential alliance to Dubai Aviation and Dubai International Airport.

Mr. Mohammed Mattar Al Marri has talked about the relationship that is between Dubai Customs and its alliances throughout advanced programs and systems that ensure attaining the best quality of customs services that meet the strategic plan and coincide with Dubai Strategic Plan 2015.

He pointed out that Dubai Customs is keen in achieving its strategic targets of strengthening economic and social development in the Emirate of Dubai to be the pioneering customs administration across the world which supports legal trade within a comprehensive vision of improving and modernizing programs, systems and the Modus Operandi.

The Executive Director of Dubai Custom Cargo talked about the vital role Dubai Customs plays in the international trade and its growing international logistic presence as well as the facilities provided to sea ports, crossings and airports transportation movement through the most updated facilities in the airports and Jebel Ali Free Zone.

The Executive Director of Dubai Customs Cargo has shed light on the virtual initiatives launched to clients and adopting the best practices and global standards as well as the efficiency of policies and procedures conducted at Dubai Customs Ports.
