Featuring the prestigious guest speakers, Dr. Salah Shelbaya, professor of internal medicine, Ain Shams University and Dr. Ibrahim El Ebrashy; head of national diabetes institute, the conference discussed some interesting topics regarding diabetes and presented the efforts done by Sanofi-aventis, to fight this chronic disease, which is considered the world's fifth leading cause of death after infections, heart disease, cancer and accidents. However, the condition is surprisingly preventable and treatable considering the number of lives it claims each year.
