Dubai Municipality organizes training courses

The Beneficiary Support Section of the IT Department in Dubai Municipality organized four training courses in Microsoft Office for employees with special needs from the Technical Training Services Unit as part its educational and developmental activities aimed at employee skill development in Information Technology and computer education.
Al Shaiba also stressed on the importance of giving people with special needs an opportunity to be part of a competitive and real work environment where they will be dealt as an ordinary employee with full right to compete with other employees for promotions, allowances and other benefits.
AbdulQadir Al Mulla, Head of Technical Training Services Unit stressed on the importance training people with special needs in Information Technology and developing their individual skills to suit the work systems and technical and internet applications in order to enable them to communicate with others more quickly and effectively, giving them confidence to compete with their colleagues.
Talking about the method followed in the training, Al Mulla said, "The best modern techniques in special needs training were employed by trained and competent professionals with extensive experience in Information Technology. We also sought the help of a female trainer specialized in sign language to explain some concepts, and e-learning method to explain the subject visually."
The trainees in the course, which received tremendous response, expressed their gratitude to the trainers and the Technical Training Services Unit through a letter of gratitude for giving them an opportunity to be trained on work systems and electronic application in Dubai Municipality.
