The high level audience was briefed on the STMP by the DoT delegation, headed by its Chairman H.E. Abdullah Rashid Al Otaiba. The main messages of Abu Dhabi's STMP, which comprises a set of policies and plans for passengers and freight transport, were displayed using the latest innovations in virtual and digital imaging and presentation technologies.
For this exhibition, Sam Katiela, Managing & Creative Director of Mamemo Productions, unveiled two of its latest developments: the Holo Box/Matrix Room, a specially constructed space where in a three-dimensional presentation moving images and key messages fuse together to form a highly emotional and fully immersive visual experience.
This innovative 3D world invites guests to literally enter the world of Abu Dhabi and its future transportation system. In the main area, Mamemo Productions installed the world's first Digital Model, which allows the real time visualization of the DoT's strategies on a 6m x 5m diagonally mounted 4mm LED screen displaying animations, statistics, maps, and other information that support the live presentation of a department representative. Interactive control of the information is made through a networked touch screen plasma monitor with a graphical interface ensuring the presenter the choice of linear or nonlinear sequencing of slides and information. The STMP exhibit also features Mamemo Productions' award-winning signature décor: the off white lounge with shiny acrylic flooring and walls. Additionally, a wall of mirrors provides visual continuity to the decor and the costum-made lighting design.
This invitation-only exhibition marked the second time Mamemo Productions was appointed by the DoT to create a stand out venue.
Sam Katiela says:
"We are very proud that the DoT has again chosen Mamemo Productions. This project is one of the most significant for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE and its supreme importance demanded an extraordinary launch. The whole exhibit garnered such high praises from its guests that the client requested for a 7-days-long extension of the display and opened it to the public."
After the close of this exhibition, the STMP Digital Model presentation was featured at Cityscape Abu Dhabi as well as during the 58th UITP World Congress and Mobility & City Transportation Exhibition in Vienna (7-11 June 2009).
