Union National Bank sponsors Abu Dhabi Industry Award 2009

In line with its leadership in the financial sector, UNB (Union National Bank) has sponsored the Abu Dhabi Industry Award programme, organized by Higher Colleges of Technology.

The sponsorship is part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility strategy that supports educational initiatives and encourages UAE students to succeed in fields aimed at the UAE's industrial sector.

The awards programme, provides an opportunity for UAE institutions to play a role in the recognition of distinguished UAE graduates.

The award is presented to those honors students with the highest GPAs includes both a monetary component and a certificate of appreciation.
Abdulla Alrashedi, Senior Vice President & Head of Emiratization & Resources at UNB said:

"At UNB, we are committed to supporting the education sector and encouraging UAE nationals to pursue more rewarding careers. This award is an incentive for UAE students to achieve more in their academics, prepare them to join the work force and contribute to society."


UNB also recently sponsored the Abu Dhabi Emiratization Forum as part of its Emiratization programme which is in line with the UAE government's Emiratization strategy. UNB is committed to attracting UAE nationals to its workforce and developing their skills through practical on-the-job training and summer internship programmes.
