Mena Telecom announces the launch of mykey

MenaTelecom, a leading telecommunications provider based in Bahrain, today unveiled 'mykey', first ever 4th Generation USB WiMAX device that will enable broadband experience and affordable prices in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This thumb-drive-sized device is preconfigured to connect to MenaTelecom's WiMAX network. It plugs directly into laptop computers and other USB-enabled devices to provide mobile wireless broadband connectivity, both indoors and outdoors.

The new mykey device is available for home and business customers, and can be used nationwide with attractive pricing packages based on monthly data allocation. mykey's unique feature is that everyone can enjoy speeds of up to 8 Mbps based on the coverage area.

Customers will have full control of their budget; with many download allocations to choose from. When the download limit has been reached, customers can choose to continue usage at a lower speed, or to maintain the speed and get charged according to usage. This throttling option is only available on MenaTelecom's network.

The 4th Generation device comes with several unbeatable advantages, such as being portable, light-weight, and capable of supporting very high broadband speeds. mykey also offers unique personalization options; every customer will receive 5 attractive color options, each printer with the customer's name of choice.

The device has been designed with multiple antennae technology to provide reliable, high-speed connectivity in the various and unpredictable environments where users expect service, especially indoor home, business and coffee shop environments, as well as on-the-go in a car, for example.

The device, which easily plugs into a USB port, seamlessly connects a computer to the WiMAX broadband network for reliable, easy, high-speed connection for e-mail, web surfing, video and audio streaming, GPS services and many other uses.
