Alfa installs 12 new radio stations

Alfa, the mobile operator, announced that it is keeping on strengthening its network all over Lebanon by installing 12 new radio stations since the 5th of May 2009.

84 stations have been installed progressively in the different regions since the first of February 2009, in order to enhance the quality of transmission, improve the network coverage and increase its capacity to support the subscribers' traffic and growth.

It's worth mentioning that Alfa has been managed by "Orascom Telecom Holding" (OTH) since the 1st of February 2009. Orascom Telecom is the leading mobile operator in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. OT counts over 79 million subscribers.

In compliance with this strategy, the company has installed the new stations as follows:

• 3 radio stations in Beirut Southern Suburb
• 1 radio station in Bir Hassan
• 2 radio stations in Zahle
• 1 radio station in Kaskas (Beirut)
• 1 radio station in Kfayr (West Bekaa)
• 1 radio station in Batroun
• 1 radio station in ABC Achrafieh
• 1 radio station in Tripoli
• 1 radio station in Msaytbeh (Saeb Slam).
