BECA are operating under the Ministry of Industry & Commerce with His Excellency Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro, The Minister of Industry & Commerce, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of BECA.

BECA, Bahrain International Circuit, Banyan Tree Al Areen Luxury Resort, Gulf Hotel & Gulf Convention Centre, Tamna Art of Events and The Royal Golf Club at Riffa Views will be represented at this year's IMEX; the sixth edition of one of the central events for the global MICE community.

"BECA have directly negotiated a special deal for the Bahrain delegates with UK-based Regent Exhibitions, the organisers of IMEX,"
says Debbie Stanford-Kristiansen, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of BECA.

"We are also co-ordinating with Gulf Air and Gulf Hotel Bahrain to host a group of 10 MICE Hosted Buyers from China for a two-day familiarisation trip to Bahrain prior to their attendance at IMEX 09," Debbie added.

BECA have been participating at IMEX since 2006 and the Authority's presence in this leading B2B show has generated key leads for Bahrain. BECA are currently in discussion with major players in the industry from Europe, the Middle East and North and South America for the holding of key events in the destination in the coming years.

For 2009, IMEX has established new partnerships with intermediaries across Asia, the US, Australia, Russia, Chile, Dubai, Europe, and South Africa. Over 4,000 hosted buyers are expected to attend the exhibition from almost 60 world markets.
