- Wednesday, September 19 - 2001 at 09:41
- PRESS RELEASE
eTechSecurity, the Middle East's first company dedicated to providing world-class IT security solutions and services, will provide GITEX 2001 attendees with a firsthand look at its comprehensive IT security bundle designed specifically for the region during its debut at the show.
The company will host live demonstrations during every day of GITEX that detail how organizations in the Middle East can implement security policies and technology to safeguard corporate data and assets. eTechSecurity will be exhibiting at GITEX as a partner of e-business giant Computer Associates in Hall 6, stand L6-3.
Special presentations on a wide range of security topics, including intrusion detection, content management, public key infrastructure (PKI), and network security management, will be available for GITEX visitors from eTech Security's team of experts. eTechSecurity will create a "hacker-free zone" at GITEX where companies can learn how to deflect both internal and external attacks on their corporate networks and websites.
"Visitors to GITEX can learn firsthand from eTech Security's regional experience in implementing security strategies for banks, government ministries, and dot.com businesses in the Middle East. We plan to host a security hub at GITEX where businesses can learn to defend their corporate information, assets, and reputation," commented Steve Crutchley, Regional Director of eTech Security.
In addition to one-on-one presentations and hands-on demonstrations, eTechSecurity will also demystify for GITEX attendees the workings of security technologies including firewalls and intrusion detection software. The eTechSecurity exhibition space will feature simulated security breaches to demonstrate how technologies repel security attacks both internally and externally.
As awareness grows about the need for corporate asset protection, Middle East investment in IT security solutions is increasing. Analyst firm the Yankee Group forecasts that companies will buy $1.7 billion in security services by 2005, up from just $140 million in 1999.
GITEX visitors can visit eTechSecurity on the Computer Associates stand L6-3, Hall 6.
