"Being a premier multi specialty hospital, Muscat Private Hospital understands that nursing is a healthcare profession focused on the detail-oriented care of individuals, families, and communities in attaining, maintaining, and recovering optimal health and functioning. A nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care independently of medical staff (doctors), and typically provides anything from basic triage care to assistance in serious trauma care and surgery,"
explains Gary Dorahy, Country Manager - OMPC and Hospital Director - MPH.
Yvonne Bester, Director of Nursing and Operations said, "We are very proud of our highly trained, multi-national team of nursing staff from countries like Belgium, Canada, India, Netherlands, Philippines, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, United Kingdom, etc... Our patients benefit from clear guidelines and protocols to standardize care and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration in the care pathway. Optimal patient safety and quality care remains our key priority!"
On the occasion, Ms. Zeyana Abdulla Al Barwani, Section Head, Nursing & Midwifery Services, Ministry of Health, Oman delivered an interesting talk on 'The Nursing Profession in Oman: Past, Present and Future'. The talk was attended by the nursing staff of MPH and a nursing lecturer from OSNI.
