Markaz organizes in-house legal educational workshop

Kuwait Financial Centre organized an in-house legal educational workshop featuring senior partners from Al-Sarraf & Al-Ruwayeh to train staff on legal matters related to the asset management industry.

In his welcome note, Mr. Manaf Alhajeri, General Manager of Markaz, commended the business relationship with ASAR spanning more than 10 years and stated that the solid position Markaz enjoys today, with the unfolding financial crisis, is a result of Markaz's legacy of doing its legal homework before engaging into any venture.

Ms. Rasha A. Al-Hamad, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at Markaz said,

"With security and ethics being a hallmark of Markaz's culture, we sought to train all levels of staff from the executive management to junior colleagues on various legal issues relevant in this difficult and changing environment, covering basics such as contract law, the scope and benefits of the Stimulus Law and managing distressed files. Overall, we believe we achieved our objective and staff found it to be a valuable experience."


Speakers from ASAR included Mr. Ahmed Barakat - Head of Litigation & Managing Partner, Mr. Robert Little - Corporate, Banking & Finance Partner and Mr. Hossam Abdullah - Corporate, Banking & Finance Partner.
