The Etisalat Academy and Tamdeed Projects plan to train and recruit a total of sixty technicians who will be given the chance of a lifetime to begin a career in the telecommunications sector. Anyone interested in applying is invited to submit their application via the Web site.
Commenting on this David Brennan, the Etisalat Academy General Manager stated: "All participants received training on how to splice, connect and install the optical network terminal. They have been thoroughly tested and can perform to the highest standards. They have completed all necessary theoretical and practical exams and are now ready to start working with Tamdeed on the Etisalat FTTH roll-out project. In this sense the Etisalat Academy and Tamdeed are helping to build the nation, both with jobs and infrastructure."
The training programme took seven days to complete and consisted of continual assessment of both theoretical and practical work, culminating in an exam. The training takes place at the Etisalat Academy, Dubai.
Ahmed Darwish, General Manager of Tamdeed Projects said:
"This is a valuable opportunity that provides young people with the chance of a career in the telecommunication sector working with the latest FTTH technology. They are benefiting not only from the opportunity for employment, but also from their access to the excellent training resources at the Etisalat Academy and a career path in Tamdeed Projects, a subsidiary of Etisalat Services Holding."
The Etisalat Academy and Tamdeed projects are continuing to seek appropriate candidates to fill the remaining places. They should have good English communication skills and installation experience preferably with a background in telecoms or electronics. They will also need to contribute a sum money towards the training, which will be returned to them after completing one year of service with Tamdeed Projects.
The Etisalat Academy is a single source provider of business skills, leadership, government development, telecommunications and IT programmes, with the capacity to train more than 1,500 professionals per day. Learning programmes are available to the wider Business community. Nestled amongst the palm trees in Al Muhaisnah, Dubai the campus boasts an auditorium, sixty training rooms, overnight accommodation for 260 people, restaurant, coffee shops and a sports and leisure club. d
