In addition, the Mall's employees and security personnel will be informing visitors to observe these new regulations and not to smoke inside the mall to maintain a healthy environment.

General Manager of City Mall Mr. Zaid Al Daoud stated:
"City Mall's management welcomes and supports this new law, as we have sought to implement non-smoking from the beginning to ensure our visitors enjoy a healthy environment. We're thankful that City Mall's visitors have been very cooperative, whether in observing these new regulations, or in putting out their cigarettes once reminded that City Mall is a non-smoking environment."

Mr. Al Daoud reaffirmed the active role that the private sector performs, as pivotal in employing the needed means to implement such new laws and spreading awareness on the negative effects of smoking.

The Public Health Law includes non-smoking in hospitals, healthcare centers, schools, cinemas, libraries, museums, public and nongovernmental buildings, public transport vehicles, airports, closed playgrounds and any other location determined by the Health Minister. Those found smoking in public facilities face a fine or a prison term, in accordance with the law.
