Boeing supports Injaz al-Arab education projects in Egypt

Injaz al-Arab is a not-for-profit organization committed to inspiring and preparing Arab youth to succeed in a global economy. It is an affiliate of Junior Achievement Worldwide.

The funds will be used to support Injaz al-Arab entrepreneurial classes in the UAE and educational programs in schools in Jordan and Palestine and to support training career counselors in Oman and printing educational material in Egypt.

"Over the years, Injaz al-Arab has made a significant impact across the region and has done a commendable job in providing a focused learning environment for the students. We are privileged to support their efforts."

Each semester, business leaders send their employees to local schools and universities for one hour every week to share their professional experience, know-how, and success stories with Arab youth -- giving them practical training to succeed in the private sector. In six semesters, students progress from learning how to manage their own budgets to how to follow stocks in the newspaper. While setting up community projects, they develop skills in leadership, planning and teamwork.

As part of its Global Corporate Citizenship focus on education, Boeing promotes and invests in quality learning environments for children from birth through higher education to help them succeed in work and life.

Last year, Boeing's Global Corporate Citizenship provided nearly $58m to support community investments around the globe, including education programs, disaster relief, environmental efforts, arts and cultural awareness activities, and programs that improve health and human services.
