Fitch assigns Qtel International Finance's $5bn GMTN programme expected 'A+' rating

Fitch Ratings has today assigned Qtel International Finance Limited's $5bn global medium term note programme (GMTN), guaranteed by Doha-based Qatar Telecom (Qtel) Q.S.C.(Qtel; 'A+'/Stable Outlook)), an expected senior unsecured rating of 'A+'.

Qtel International Finance Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qtel.

The expected rating of the GMTN is in line with Qtel's Issuer Default Rating and senior unsecured rating of 'A+'.

The final rating is contingent on the receipt of final documentations conforming to information already received.

The obligations of Qtel under its guarantee in respect of the notes will be direct, unconditional and unsecured obligations of Qtel and will rank equally with all other unsecured obligations of Qtel.
