Abu Dhabi Media Company offers internships to students at Higher Colleges of Technology

Abu Dhabi Media Company and The Higher Colleges of Technology today announced a collaboration to offer local students a unique, hands on work experience at one of the fastest growing, multi-platform, media organisations in the region.

Under the deal, Emirati media students at the UAE's most established college will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience across some of the region's biggest media brands, including Al Ittihad, The National, Zahrat al Khaleej, Abu Dhabi TV, the Abu Dhabi Radio network and new media.

Highlighting the importance of Emiratization at today's signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, Abu Dhabi Media Company Chairman, Mohammed Khalaf Al Mazrouei, said:
"Abu Dhabi is a booming centre of arts, culture and diversified media and Abu Dhabi Media Company is delighted to open its doors to what we hope will be some of the future leaders in media. This is a great opportunity for young Emiratis to play a role in communicating key events shaping the Arab world through Abu Dhabi Media Company's extensive portfolio of media brands."


Dr Tayeb Kamali, Vice Chancellor of HCT, stated:
HCT is delighted to partner with Abu Dhabi Media Company to provide our students with this unique work experience programme."


He continued, "We are pleased to sign this agreement with a company who share our vision for the development of UAE nationals in the field of applied communications and thank Abu Dhabi Media Company for their ongoing commitment."

Abu Dhabi Media Company's, CEO Edward Borgerding added, "We operate in a fast-moving and exciting environment and our partnership with HCT offers local students a real flavour of what it takes to be part of a world-class media organisation. This is a wonderful opportunity to cultivate the development of home-grown media talent in the region."

Abu Dhabi Media Company's Human Resources team has recently pushed the company's Emiratization strategy through a range of initiatives including traineeship programmes, internships and collaborations with local educational institutions.
