He added that KFH has established a client base of various religions, since KFH welcomes anyone who is willing to deal with it according to Shariah.

The aforementioned statements were made during the monthly meeting of the American Business Council held at the American Embassy, where Ambassador Deborah Jones was among the attendees.

She welcomed Al-Omar and lauded the achievements made by KFH locally and overseas, in addition to thanking the American Business Council for creating a healthy environment for businessmen to communicate with their American counterparts.

Moreover, Al-Omar mentioned that the clients, regardless of their beliefs or origins, tend to deal with the bank that they trust, which is what prompted many governments to ask KFH to operate on their lands, especially that KFH does not seek quick profits, but operates steadily to fund Shariah -compliant projects that serve the essence of the economy.

He went on to add that the overseas expansion policy that started in the mid 80s and was solidified by establishing KFH -Turkey in 1989 has increased, especially that people started to understand the nature and fields of Islamic banking, which made it a suitable alternative in many markets and countries around the world.

He mentioned that KFH operates in 20 countries around the world, either directly, such as in Turkey, Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Morocco, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and Germany, or through investing in other countries, such as Britain, the States, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, and other parts of the world, which makes KFH an economic and commercial bridge between these countries and Kuwait on the one hand, and between the GGC and the Middle East on the other.

Furthermore, Al-Omar noted that KFH has received the most prestigious awards from international rating agencies, in addition to many global awards, such as Best Banking Brand by The Banker in 2009, where KFH took first place among the Arabs, and its brand was evaluated for $763m, not to mention being one of the most prestigious 500 banking brands.

KFH also won Best Islamic Bank for the second consecutive year in a poll organized by Islamic Financial News, Best Islamic Innovative Bank, Best Islamic Bank in Kuwait for the second consecutive year, Best Islamic Bank in the Middle East and Best Real Estate Services offered by Islamic Bank by Euromoney, Best Bank in Kuwait by The Banker, in addition to 10 different awards in 2008 that praised KFH performance and development.
