The theme of the Bank's presentation revolved around its products and services. It explained how these products are tailored to assist customers to manage their personal funds prudently.
"Empowering the youth with financial knowledge is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility framework",
says Mr. Fadi Matar, Burgan Bank Chief Marketing Officer and General Manager, Corporate Communications.
"This program reflects the importance we give to enabling future generations to be more financially literate through CSR initiatives that aim to enhance the knowledge and education of the younger and future generation."
Students and staff at Sharifa Al Awadhi high School appreciated this initiative which allowed the Bank's staff to interact directly with students and address their queries about the world of banking. Previously, the Bank has supported Kuwaiti educational institutions through a series of initiatives such as the establishment of the Burgan Bank KAMCO Dealing Room - the first-of-its-kind online trading center - at Kuwait University's College of Business Administration.
The Bank has also recognized and encouraged the achievements of the National Union of Kuwait Students (NUKS) at the American University of Kuwait (AUK). It conducts summer internship programs to give fresh graduates the opportunity to learn about banking procedures and to hone their skills in that trade.
Furthermore, the Bank supports knowledge-acquisition and assists people with special needs on their road to fulfilling their full potentials. It that respect, it has supported the 'Yes We Can' sports festival held by the Dasman School. Through programs such as the Al Mass Annual Awards, Burgan Bank stresses the importance of integrating people of special needs in the workplace through enhancing their skills and allowing them suitable job opportunities.
