James Hamilton who is organizing the two events, said he particularly wanted to thank Air Miles for its ongoing support of the charity.
"The CNCF campaign is all about making a difference to thousands of children and every donation goes a long way to alleviating their suffering and of giving them their childhood back. Since starting in 1990, many more than 140,000 children have received help in the wide variety of projects the Foundation is now running both in Vietnam and Mongolia. None of this would have been possible without the generous support of companies such as Air Miles."
This view was echoed in a message from Nicolas Pistolas, Director of the CNCF in Vietnam. "The generosity of your support will help us with the vital task of converting 'giving' into food for the hungry and clothing for the poor, or providing life changing medical care for sick children and thus everlasting hope for a family, who fears the anguish and pain or even loss of their child.
"Thank you to all the wonderful people at Air Miles for sharing this journey with us. Without the support of people such as yourselves the CNCF could not continue to save and mend the lives of so many and thus change the cycle of poverty that has hindered them for so very long," he said.
Dave Battiston, CEO of Air Miles, said how delighted he was that support could be given to such a worthy cause. "Concentrating on helping these organizations remains an important area for us and we will continue to support such international charities wherever and whenever we can," he said.
Other key companies that are supporting the charity drive are; Al Rostamani Travel, WMC, TCFS, Sentinel Business Centres, Global Dairy Network, Wellington School, A&E, Seawings, Le Meridien Mina Seyathi, Big Bus Company and MeFit Pro.
