The General Assembly was followed by a meeting of Al Khaliji France's Board of Directors, who decided to extend facilities to Qataris wanting to expand their business in France or interested in investing in real estate in Paris or other French cities.

His Excellency Sheikh Hamad Bin Faisal Bin Thani Al Thani, Chairman of Al Khaliji France, commented:

"Our visit to Paris indicates the objective of Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) to extend full support to Al Khaliji France SA. We are in the process of expanding our business in the French Capital in order to extend facilities to Qatari firms and individuals who are expanding their business or want to purchase properties in France"

His Excellency praised the leading role of Al Khaliji France, formerly "BLC Bank (France) SA", the first Arab bank to open branches in Paris since 1956.

Al Khaliji Commercial Bank (al khaliji) announced last year its acquisition of BLC Bank (France) SA, which includes four branches in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah) along with the head office in Paris.

Robin McCall, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) and Board Member of Al Khaliji France commented: " France is a strong European economy. We are planning to expand our scope of business in France to support Qatari companies and individuals with their business objectives there. We plan to align our activities and develop our services to keep abreast of the market needs and reflect the ongoing dynamism of both French and Qatari economies, by supporting French companies based in both Qatar and the UAE".

H.E. Mr. Mohammed Juham Al Kuwari, Qatar Ambassador to France, hosted a business lunch in honour of Al Khaliji France's delegation, where he invited a pool of prominent businessmen working in France as well as representatives of Franco-Qatari Friendship Associations.

Al Khaliji France Directors extended their deepest gratitude to the Qatari Ambassador and praised his outstanding efforts in developing diplomatic and commercial relationships between Qatar and France.
