Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar announces Dean's List for Spring 2009 term

After excelling in the classroom during the Spring 2009 term, 46 students at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar have earned the academic distinction of being placed on the Dean's List.

Only top-ranking students are named to The Dean's List each semester. The qualifications for the Dean's List are the same in Doha as they are on Carnegie Mellon's home campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Senior Business Administration students are: Sara Al-Asmakh, Mohammed Al-Ibrahim, Noor Al-Jassim and Bayan Taha. Senior Computer Science students are: Hatem Alismail and Hend Gedawy.

Junior Business Administration students are: Tarik Abou-Galala, Fatima Al Fakhri, Buthayna Al Madhadi, Saad Al-Matwi, Aisha Al-Sada, Arsalan Arif, Siddharth Arora, Amna Sultan and Shaereen Vencilao. Junior Computer Science majors are: Rishav Bhowmick, Shakir Hussain, Keghani Kouzoujian and Mohammed Kaleemur Rahman. Junior Information Systems student is Khalid Al-Sooj.

Sophomore Business Administration students are: Hira Ahmed, Abdulla Ali Al-Kuwari, Zeyad Al-Mudhaf, Mai Al-Naemi, Mohammed El Haj Ahmad, Harold Yew Jin Huang, Jummana Kahlout, Laila Khan, Hala Khashabi, Urmila Rosario and Yara Saeed. Sophomore Computer Science students are: Samreen Anjum, Shashank Jariwala and Khaled Ziya Aeen. Sophomore Information Systems majors are: Amna Al-Hitmi, Douaa Dalle and Omar Shaat.

Freshman Business Administration students are: Sara Abbas, Edmond Abi Saleh, Abdallah Darwish, Mohamed Hussain and Mridula Mukundan. Freshman Computer Science majors are: Rami Al Rihawi and Turki Jamaan. Freshman Information Systems majors are: Dania Abed Rabbou and Yazan Abu Hijleh.

Students in Qatar follow the same curriculum, are taught to the identical standards and adhere to the exact performance requirements as students at university's home campus Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
