The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority and airport senior officials were on the ground at the airport to welcome the guests on board this landmark flight KW3000 from Kuwait to Damascus. Wataniya Airways Chairman and Managing Director Abdul Salam Al Bahar, senior company executives plus some of Kuwait's top journalists were the special guests onboard to celebrate the historic occasion.
The airline will fly 5 return flights to Damascus each week, adding a significant destination to its current network which includes Dubai, Bahrain, Cairo, Beirut and Amman. Damascus is of tremendous interest to Kuwaiti leisure and business travellers as well as the large Syrian community residing in Kuwait.
