Damascus constitutes Wataniya Airways' sixth route since launching its operations in late January 2009 and represents a key part of the airline's expansion plan for the peak summer holiday season.

The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority and airport senior officials were on the ground at the airport to welcome the guests on board this landmark flight KW3000 from Kuwait to Damascus.
