Ministry of Economy to organise first UAE Symposium on Small and Medium Enterprises

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, the Ministry is organizing the first UAE Symposium on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) at The Address Downtown Burj Dubai hotel today.
The event also reflects the commitment of the UAE leadership to support small and medium businesses and UAE national entrepreneurship. It also complements the diversification initiatives of the Government and creating opportunities to enhance trade and investment.
The first UAE Symposium on Small and Medium Enterprises includes three main sessions. The first one will comprise opening speeches by H.E Mr Al Mansouri, His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Labour; and His Excellency Sultan N. Al-Suwaidi, Governor of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates.
The second session will highlight the experiences of Germany, Italy and China in the fields of small and medium businesses. The third session will feature presentations by various local institutions working in the field of small and medium businesses.
