Batelco sponsors award ceremony to celebrate humanitarian work

Batelco was the main sponsor for a special celebratory event organized by Al Badeel Centre to reward VIP's for their contribution to humanitarian work in the region, especially those who had supported initiatives to alleviate the suffering for citizens of Gaza.

The event which took place under the patronage of The President of the Islamic Council H.E. Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa was held at the Regency Intercontinental Hotel.

Among those rewarded was Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for his continuous humanitarian work for Bahrainis and also for his support for Gaza, through his role as Chairman of the Committee with responsibility to collect financial aid and other items for redistribution in Palestine.

A number of Ministers and VIP's from GCC countries were also presented with awards for their contributions toward worthy causes. Furthermore, Batelco received an award for its efforts to raise financial aid for citizens of Gaza. The award was presented by Minister of Justice H.E. Shaikh Khalid Bin Ali Al Khalifa.

"Batelco is an integral part of the local community and has an ongoing commitment to contribute to its social structure. Supporting our suffering brothers and sisters in the Gaza region is a natural extension of that self imposed obligation,"


said Batelco Group General Manager Media & Government Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.
