The scheme involves cleaning outside Entrance 4 and the parking area of the property. Some members of the management together with most of the staff participated in the said campaign with a lot of enthusiasm and encouraged team work in finding lasting solutions for the growing waste problems.
The property wishes Dubai residents to become a major force to push forward Dubai government's initiative to improve environment.
Moussa El Hayek, Chief Operating Officer of Al Bustan Centre & Residence, said:
"Al Bustan Centre & Residence has made long-term plans for environmental improvement and we are pleased to see that our guests have given us wholehearted support. The property has begun to embark on major plan that will significantly improve efficiency, reduce waste and unit costs, and strength reliability thus enhancing the overall environment."
Moussa added such initiatives are imperative for contributing to the protection of the global environment and reducing environmental impact on a corporate's activities. However, it is essential to make quantitative evaluation of the environmental impact by knowing the volume of resources and energy consumptions, and the emission of environmental burden throughout the life cycle of products.
He hoped that the new programme will encourage people to develop and implement environmental programmes that positively impact their communities. It will also create wakefulness in the community about issues related to global warming and what steps should be taken to reduce the production of greenhouse gases.
Al Bustan Centre & Residence is committed to manifest environmental leadership in all the aspects of the property and believes environmental protection is an essential component of its business performance.
It continually looks for initiatives that can help minimize the environmental footprint of its entire supply chain -- from embracing green building, energy and water conservation to waste reduction and environmental initiatives in the local communities.
