  • United Arab Emirates: Thursday, June 04 - 2009 at 16:07
  • PRESS RELEASE

The globally acclaimed Masterclass Series was successfully held at the Shangri La Hotel in Abu Dhabi on the 2nd and 3rd of June 2009.

The international event, which is a nearly decade-old collaboration between Hill International and the Chartered Institute of Building, focuses on risk assessment, managing change, as well as delay and disruption within the construction and civil engineering industries.

The course was covered in two days, with the first day dedicated to managing projects in real time, dealing with risks, and controlling problems, while the 2nd day focused on how to deal with claims and manage problems, and how to analyze delay and disruption.

This year's event brought with it over 50 developers, construction contractors, architects, and other professionals from the UAE. The focus for this year's event was the financial situation in the UAE, where attendees were taught about taking the most positive approach to developments in the current climate. Talks included specific discussions on ensuring success through sustained and controlled management of projects.
