Sakhr's ArabDox awarded yet another prize

ArabDox, the flagship knowledge management solution for the Arab e-government and enterprise from Industry leader Sakhr Software, has won the Best Arabic Business Software award from the premiere regional IT media house, ITP, during a ceremony held on Sunday at Gitex Dubai 2001.
The event also witnessed the award presentation of the Best Arabic Internet Portal to the Dubai Internet City-based and Sakhr's affiliate Ajeeb.com.
The Best Arabic Business Software award, one of more than 20 given this year by ITP's Windows User following rigorous reviews of solutions and hardware, software and solutions, put ArabDox Version 2.5 on par with products and solutions from top global IT companies.
"Coming from a leading publisher in the IT industry, this award reconfirms to us that our strategy to meet the regional market demand and cater for the specific needs of the Arabic enterprise and e-government, is on the mark. ArabDox, in particular, is playing a key role in the digital transformation of the region by making Arabic knowledge management a reality," said Fahad Al-Sharekh, Sakhr Software's business development director and CEO of Ajeeb.com.

ArabDox is the first Arabic integrated document management system, designed to provide users in large enterprises and governments easy management and manipulation of documents and information. ArabDox Version 2.5 is distinguished by utilizing advanced design and development methodologies. It is the first Arabic program that has designed an "N-Tier Architecture". This was done with Object Oriented Design as a component-based system. ArabDox, which uses DCOM technology for communication between its components, has been significantly enhanced for added security, performance, scalability and robustness. The new features and support assured ArabDox the position as the ideal bilingual document management system.
The earlier version of ArabDox won the DIT 2000 Awards of Excellence and the Windows Magazine's Top 60 products of 2000.Within less than 18 months on the release of the first version, ArabDox was adopted by close to 50 Arabic ministries and organizations.
