Mobily upgrades 40 more sites to 3G and beyond

Mobily upgraded 40 more of its sites in the Eastern Region to 3G, 3.5G and 3.75G, the company announced on Wednesday.
In Dammam, residents of the neighborhoods of Qasr Al-Khalij, Mohammadia, Badia Rayyan, Uhud, the Dareen beach and the automotive shop district will have access to 3G technology, and so will the residents of Bahr and Qalaa in Dative, and the King Fahad Port, 2nd Industrial City and Al-Quds district in Jubail, Al-Muthallath district in Khafji and Muntazah in Sihat.
Engineer Khalid Al Kaf, Mobily's CEO, said that the company is working thoroughly on getting the entire Kingdom connected to 3G and beyond, upgrading 40 sites in a single month.
he added that with 3G and beyond, Mobily's subscribers can enjoy high-speed Internet connectivity through Connect, mobile or iPhone, watching satellite TV and making video calls in the Kingdom and abroad. Mobily has 3G deals with 62 operators in 36 countries.
Kaf added that Mobily's network is the world's busiest in data transfer, with more than 31 terrabytes exchanged daily.
Mobily today has the Middle East's largest and most advanced 3G network, providing high-quality services at competitive prices
