ExxonMobil gets 'partner' status at American-Kuwaiti Alliance

ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Kuwait Limited announced today that it has joined the American-Kuwaiti Alliance (AKA) as 'partner company' with a $50,000 contribution.

AKA is a selective member-ship based organization tasked with enhancing US-Kuwaiti business relations.

The American-Kuwaiti Alliance (AKA) is the premier membership organization working to build and enhance American and Kuwaiti relations in political policy and relationships, business, and investment and trade, in addition to foster cross-cultural understanding between the two countries.

ExxonMobil Kuwait President Dr. John Hoholick, said:
"The AKA has done great work in bolstering American-Kuwaiti business relations and trade, it was only a matter of time for us to join this great effort."


AKA Managing Director Mr. Fahad Al Ajmi said, "We extend a warm welcome to ExxonMobil for upgrading their membership status, and move to do so is a great testament towards AKA's continues efforts."

Al Ajmi added, "AKA was founded in 2003 in Washington, D.C. with the attendance of representatives from the State of Kuwait with the then Prime Minister, and current Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and senior U.S. government officials-including President Bush and Vice President Cheney—and over 350 leading figures in government, industry and academia from both the United States and Kuwait."

"AKA is a non-profit organization established with a mission to build, sustain, and reinforce Kuwaiti-American relations through greater political and economic relations, in addition to providing info and knowledge sharing initiatives among citizens of both countries," he added.

AKA is comprised of leading U.S. and Kuwaiti businesses with an interest in the long-term future of U.S.-Kuwait commercial, political, and cultural relations.
