The summit agenda is business oriented and provides an excellent opportunity for the participants to build new global leadership skills, discuss new ideas, and design innovative strategies to take back to their home countries. Each day of the summit incorporates experiential elements within three components — global business solutions, professional development, and leader engagement.
"The most important resource we have in the EMBU is our people. Not only do we want to promote diversity in our leadership by creating the best environment for women to succeed at Pfizer, but we are also committed to building a pipeline of leaders, both men and women, who understand the diverse healthcare needs of the communities we serve and actively engage in reaching patients we've never reached before,"said Jean-Michel Halfon, President & General Manager of the EMBU.
Susan Silbermann, Regional President for Latin America in the EMBU and the summit chair, stated, "Our goal is to have all summit participants leave Dubai as leaders and change agents in gender equity and diversity, understanding and demonstrating that inclusion is the way Pfizer does business. We invite media to join the summit on Sunday, June 14, for the panel discussion on 'Diversity Focused Solutions Driving Organization Results.'"
"The panel discussion will run from 10:45 to 12:00, after which we offer interested journalists the opportunity to interview management, including Amy Schulman, Pfizer Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Jean-Michel Halfon and Susan Silbermann from the EMBU, and speakers from the panel, including H.E. Dr. Maryam Matar, Director General, Community Development Authority Dubai, UAE," she added.
In addition, Dr. Dr. Mahzarin R. Banaji, Richard Clarke Cabot Professor of Social Ethics Department of Psychology, Harvard University will be speaking on 'Unconscious Bias,' on Monday, June 15 and available for interviews.
