Batelco employees graduate with HND from Bahrain Training Institute

As part of Batelco's Training and Development programmes, 10 of its Network employees have graduated with Higher National Diplomas (HND) in Computing and Business Applications from Bahrain Training Institute.

A celebration was held at Batelco Knowledge Hub in Hamala to mark the HND achievement.

Batelco Group General Manager Human Resources Shaikh Ahmed Al Khalifa presented the group with certificates.

Also in attendance were a number of senior management and staff including General Manager Fixed Network Mohammed Bubshait, General Manager Mobile Services Abdulhamid Chehab and Senior Manager Human Resources Development Kamal Bahrani.

"HND qualifications are recognised throughout the world and we are proud of the success of our employees who have been studying part-time for 2 years while holding down their full time working roles at Batelco," said Shaikh Ahmed.

"Batelco has a commitment to the development of its employees and provides a wide variety of training opportunities through an annual investment of over BD1 million."

"Training programmes to instill skills that we are lacking and development programmes to enrich our knowledge base remain a key priority at Batelco,"


added Shaikh Ahmed.

Batelco Senior Manager Human Resources Development Kamal Bahrani explained that in order to graduate with the HND qualifications, employees had to successfully complete 16 modules, including units on e-Commerce Technology, Data Handling & Analysis, Programming Principles and e-Commerce Project.

"We will remain committed to empowering and enabling our employees to excel, building on their knowledge base for their personal growth and the good of Batelco," concluded Shaikh Ahmed.
