"Tastings for Gift of Life" is one of GOLA's fundraisers to support life-saving cardiac surgeries for underprivileged children in Jordan and the Middle East, suffering from congenital heart diseases.
This charity event's goal is to raise enough money to finance vitally-necessary heart surgery for Ahmad Ramadan, a 7-month-old Egyptian baby living in a refugee camp in Jordan. So far, more than 80 GOLA children from around the region have been brought to Jordanian hospitals for critically-needed open-heart surgery.
The one-day charity event in Amman is being organized in partnership with the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, featuring the distinctive contribution of ATICO Fakhreldin Group, Jordan's finest food providers who offered their signature specialties.
ATICO Fakhreldin Group's participation reflects its key position as a supporter and advocate of noble causes, aiming at providing care to the community they live in and offering helping hand for the needy.
Commenting on the event, ATICO Fakhreldin Group's Director of Corporate Communication and CSR, Abeer Fakhriddin, said,
"At ATICO Fakhreldin Group, we measure our success not only in terms of our financial performance, but also through our contribution to the local community, as a corporate citizen. It is, therefore, imperative that we come forward and share the responsibilities for redistributive and inclusive growth. We chose to work with GOLA to extend financial support for the underprivileged children suffering from congenital heart disease, hoping that our contribution will save a child's life and answer a parent's prayer."
"We strongly believe that the corporate sector is the prime mover of growth in any country. Our goal, in ATICO Fakhreldin Group, is to participate in as many charity events as possible, to raise money for a worthy cause and give back to the community," she added.
GOLA was established in Amman in April 2006, as a non-profit charity group, inspired by Gift of Life International, and, in the first year it was founded, saved the lives of 15 children from Jordan, Palestine, and Iraq. Three years later, GOLA has facilitated a total of over 100 surgeries for needy children from the Middle East and Africa.
