The Higher Colleges of Technology joins the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation to Host Global Entrepreneurship Week

The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to serve as host of Global Entrepreneurship Week/United Arab Emirates (GEW) November 16th -22nd.

HCT joins a select group of leaders advancing entrepreneurship around the world led by the Kauffman Foundation and the Make Your Mark campaign.

The agreement was signed in Abu Dhabi by HE Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of
Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology and Jonathan Ortmans, President of Global Entrepreneurship Week and Senior Fellow, Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.

Countries across six continents are coming together to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week, an initiative to inspire young people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity.

From November 16th -22nd, Global Entrepreneurship Week will connect young people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.

Students, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders, employees, non-profit leaders, government officials and many others will participate in a range of activities, from online to face-to-face, and from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings.

"For seven days, millions of young people around the world will be introduced to entrepreneurship and encouraged to think about how innovation can take them anywhere, no matter their location on the map,"


said Jonathan Ortmans, President Global Entrepreneurship Week.

"The HCT looks forward to serving as the UAE host for Global Entrepreneurship Week.", stated Dr Tayeb Kamali, Vice Chancellor of the HCT. "We are excited to partner with the Kauffman Foundation in this endeavor and join over seventy five countries throughout the world in advancing entrepreneurship."
