Alexandria City Centre hosts tour for new extension retailers

Around 75 retailers took a tour of the facility as part of a half-day programme, which was titled 'Retail Orientation Day.'

The visit was organised by mall operators to give the new tenants the opportunity of becoming acquainted with their respective outlets' positioning with suggestions on how to design their stores and shop fronts to seamlessly integrate them with the malls look and feel.

Among the other key stakeholders attending the event were brand interior designers who were keen to look for ways to make sure that their product stands out from the crowd when the venture finally goes live. The tour was one of the precursor events for the final fit outs, before the extension opens for business in September this year.

In addition to the trip around the facility, which almost doubles the size of the existing Centre, a presentation was made and a question and answer session held.

"It was very exciting to be able to meet the new tenants for the extension and to give them a guided tour," said Omar Gaafar, Alexandria City Centre Mall Manager. "These are the people who will be instrumental in the success of the new venture and it was clear that they were just as enthused when they got to witness the set up in the flesh for the first time and interact with us rather than seeing what it is like from photographs and design graphics," he added.

Alexandria City Centre's 'Retail Orientation Day' is part of its owner, MAF Misr's commitment to work with its new retailers in opening the mall's new extension in time with the highest percentage of stores open for business.
