1st 'Energy Savers UAE 2012' by The Powerful Solutions to focus on promoting energy use efficiency

The Powerful Solutions (TPS), an energy solutions consultancy, has flagged off a series of conferences focused on the energy sector in the Middle East with Energy Savers UAE 2012.

An initiative aimed at strengthening energy efficiency awareness, the full-day event will be held on October 2, 2012 at JW Marriott Hotel, Dubai, with the planned participation of over 300 delegates from the public and private sectors.

Organised by TPS Management Consultants, a business technical advisory focused on the power and energy sector, the event is the latest addition to strengthen the energy landscape in the region. Debates on legislations, standards and applications as well as the challenges faced by the sector will be discussed. Industry experts will provide an overview on the innovations, latest technologies and share best practices, which will help in raising awareness on the need to promote energy savings and ultimately aimed at reducing the energy bills for consumers and burden to the Grid.

Ravinder Bhan, the Principal Consultant at TPS said: "The Gulf region today witnesses sharp demand for energy, led by the growing population and massive investments in in infrastructure development. Simultaneously, the Governments in the region are focused on promoting sustainable developmental initiatives in the energy sector. The first edition of 'Energy Savers UAE 2012' will highlight the drivers of energy efficiency and how various stakeholders can work together and share best practices in energy management.

"Through Energy Savers UAE 2012, TPS will also share its expertise and offer the insights of key participants in the energy sector to reduce carbon footprint and promote a sustainable environment. We are looking forward to introducing our team of experts after the success of the UAE pilot series."

Mohammed Saleh Badri, Director General of Emirates Authority for Standardisation & Metrology (ESMA), will present the keynote address. Representatives from local and international organisations such as Siemens, Abu Dhabi Quality & Conformity Council, LG, AESG, Energy Management Services, Trane, United Nations Development Program and leading Consultants, will share their expertise on the subject.

The participant at Energy Savers UAE 2012 will receive a certificate of attendance and a complimentary copy of the Energy Savers Guide, a user's handbook of energy-saving products, processes and systems that will serve as a constant refresher for stakeholders. The book will also contain all the presentations made at the conference.

In addition to the panel discussions and seminars, TPS will announce plans to award corporations and individuals for their remarkable contributions in creating a healthier environment. A panel of independent judges will review nominations in various areas such as technology, products, contribution, policies and best presentation. Nominations will be accepted until December 2012 and the awards will be presented early next year.

'Energy Savers UAE 2012' is held in institutional partnership with Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC), the Dubai Quality Group, and the Abu Dhabi Quality & Conformity Council, UAE.
