Middle East Technical University signs MoU with Higher Colleges of Technology

Middle East Technical University (METU) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), to foster collaboration between the two institutions.

The agreement was signed in Abu Dhabi by HE Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology and Dr. Ahmet Acar, Rector of Middle East Technical University.

The understanding will see METU and HCT planning to establish a wide range of faculty and student exchanges.

"METU desires to jointly design and develop, as appropriate, training and degree programs in UAE, which allow the participants to spend time in both countries and receive certificates/degrees conforming to the requirements and quality standards of the two institutions"


said Dr. Ahmet Acar, Rector of Middle East Technical University.

"We are committed to reach, produce, apply and promote knowledge, and to educate individuals with that knowledge for the social, cultural, economic, scientific and technological development of our society and humanity. HCT with its outstanding facilities and expertise is an ideal partner."

Middle East Technical University located in Ankara, Turkey is a state university founded in 1956. It is one of Turkey's most competitive universities, with 23,000 students enrolled of which 4,100 are in masters and 2,400 are in doctorate programs.

METU has 40 undergraduate programs within 5 faculties. Additionally, there are 5 Graduate Schools with 93 masters and 61 doctorate programs.
