Alba to unify standards with new maintenance manual

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has begun steps to unify standards and support the development, implementation and operation of a formal maintenance management system (MMS) with the recent launch of a manual entitled, Journey Towards Maintenance Excellence.

The manual was developed by a dedicated Alba Maintenance Manual (AMM) committee, which was chaired by Alba's Acting General Manager Casthouse & Engineering Services, Ahmed Al-Hashimi and comprised team of head of maintenance planning and supported by maintenance managers from Alba.

Mr Al-Hashimi said:
"The production of this manual was made possible because of the commitment shown by maintenance managers and for their zeal in seeing uniformity of standards and excellence in all areas of operation."


"We are thankful to Deputy Chief Executive, Mahmood Daylami for his continuous support and guidance in helping us produce the manual," remarked Al Hashimi.

A sub-committee was also formed for members participating in services and activities related to the publication of the manual.

A. Karim Hussain, head of this committee, expressed special thanks to A. Nabi Akbari, Casthouse Superintendent Mechanical Maintenance, and Chilukuri Adinarayana, Head of Planning & Services in Maintenance Reduction.
