Boeing holds airline planning seminar for Gulf Air management

The management team of Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, recently participated in a two day airline planning seminar which was conducted by Boeing at the Gulf Hotel.

The seminar which was attended by over 50 employees from Gulf Air's senior management, focused on the current industry status and its developing trends, including competitive strategies designed to enhance the financial success of the airline.

Each participant was introduced to a wealth of information regarding analytical tools, methods, systems, market performance, financial analysis and resources which could be applied in their daily jobs. Gulf Air employees were also given the opportunity to engage in discussions about the aviation industry's present critical state of affairs with representatives from Boeing.

"The two day Boeing seminar reinforces our commitment to staff by providing the tools to develop their potential. The course gave our management a broader outlook of the airline industry's growth from a global perspective, something which is important in the current economic climate,"


said Mr. Ahmed Al Banna, Chief People Officer of Gulf Air.

Talking at the seminar, Mr. Jorge A Molina, Middle East Regional Marketing Director of the Boeing Company commented, "Boeing holds such airline planning seminars every year in different countries for managers and executives of airlines worldwide.

The goal behind holding such a program is to bring resources to management and executive level participants, that address key issues about airlines and simultaneously ensure that this material emphasizes on the vital business decision makers that affect the fiercely competitive aviation industry today."
