The initiative forms part of Goody's community relations program which offered the program for free, and was established to enhance young Saudi females' cooking skills and enable them to be creative in the kitchen.

The 'Goody Cooking Academy' initiative was conducted in collaboration with Al-Fanar Training Center. Each course consisted of training on preparation of a variety of innovative dishes from different countries by a group of professional and highly skilled lady chefs.

The course, as well, included training on preparation of appetizers, main dishes, desserts and juices. Each training course was held for a period of for five days a week for two hours a day.

On this occasion, Maha Al-Mojadidi, Associate Marketing Manager at Goody, said:
"This initiative is part of a series of initiatives that have been launched by 'Goody', and aims to serve the community. And although the program was for women, it also benefitted other members of the community, including children who experienced both learning and fun in our special cooking courses that taught them how to prepare simple foods such as jelly or a peanut better sandwich."

She added, "Next year 'Goody' will work on the expansion of this initiative to cover other cities in Saudi Arabia such as Riyadh, Dammam, Abha and Madinah, to train five thousand female students over the next year in those cities."

'Goody', also organized cooking training courses for low-income families to teach them how to cook properly and how to prepare sweets to enable them to make their own living and live a dignified life.
